From News Wars:

A Starbucks store in downtown Portland, Ore., was destroyed by rioters after building workers took down barricades thinking protests were “quieting down.”

It’s ironic given that Starbucks has been the predominant promoter of the ‘social justice warrior’ narrative over the past several years.

Photos of the raided store was spread on Twitter, and what makes it newsworthy is the fact that stores in downtown Portland keep getting ransacked over and over again to the point where boarded-up windows are now a permanent sight throughout the city.

Before the destruction, workers at the Standard Insurance Center took down barricades surrounding the first floor of the tower where the coffee shop was located, according to a social media poster.

“Starbucks is leaving. They’re gone,” reads the post. “They’re not gonna come back after this… we took our fences down thinking everything was quiet. Bad move.”

Back in Sept., Standard Insurance said most of its employees were no longer even working in the tower due to Covid-19 and “current disruptions and unsafe conditions in the neighborhood.”

“Our downtown properties have sustained significant vandalism and a number of employees and contractors have been assaulted in recent months,” a company official said.

The Jan. 1 protest in Portland was one of the fiercest in months.
