From Trending Politics:
ABC’s “The View” co-host made a series of nasty comments about President Donald Trump this week.
During a segment Monday on the liberal program, the panel began discussing Trump’s phone call with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger and state election officials on the 2020 election in his state over allegations of voter fraud.
Then, of course, someone from Raffensperger’s team leaked the call to the far-left Washington Post, where the outlet published a hit piece that featured the recording of the phone call.
Behar said the phone call was enough to remove Trump from office using the 25th amendment.
Behar also made a series of weird comments about “bending over” and how Trump was “on his knees.”
“I thought, get the straitjacket, get the straitjacket. He’s gone. This guy’s gone. He’s on his knees, begging Raffensperger,” said Behar.
“I give props to Raffensperger,” she added. “He did a good job. He will not bend over. He will not bend over for this guy.”
“But I’m wondering if we have the 25th Amendment because, you know, if you don’t use it with him, when are they going to use it?” she said.
Behar continued, “When one flew over the cuckoo’s nest? When are they going to use it?”
“If they didn’t impeach him before, and I guess they could still impeach him. I understand if he gets impeached, he can’t run for president again,” Behar said.
Sunny Hostin added:
“I think there’s no question that any lawyer that you speak to will tell you that this counts as conspiracy to commit election tampering, you know, especially voter suppression.”
“I hope that every single American, especially people that are still Trump supporters, listen to that tape of the call or at least read the transcript because what you have is the president of the United States asking the Georgia secretary of state to find votes, to steal an election, and to just really, I think, sabotage our democracy.”
“That is not only criminal. It is psychotic in a sense,” she added.
Behar’s comments are not surprising.
Two weeks ago, she said on “The View” that President Trump would “go to jail” once he leaves office.
Co-host Whoopi Goldberg said, “I know if it goes in a crazy way and Joe doesn’t get elected, he’s going to say to people everybody calm down. We’ll figure this out. You think the other one— you think you know who will do the same if his people start going off and being crazy? Do you think he’ll say to them calm down?”
Behar said, “No. First of all, we have to remember — people have to remember Trump that is hanging on to power and primarily, I think, it’s to avoid going to prison.”
She continued, “People don’t remember Watergate. John Ehrlichman, Haldeman both went to prison. John Mitchell went to prison. The only reason that Nixon didn’t go is that he was pardoned by Gerald Ford. They will go to jail. He will go to jail. He has to answer E. Jean Carroll. He has to answer the Southern district. He’s petrified. That’s why he’s barricading himself. It’s not just about holding on to power. And those other three stooges you were just talking about, maybe they’ll get voted out eventually because they have no core of self. Cruz — I love what you said yesterday, Ana, about Rubio, fantastic. These people have to be taken down immediately. We will never have a country.”
